This inaugural DRI symposium on Advanced Issues in Conflict Resolution is a collaboration between the Hamline University School of Law’s Dispute Resolution Institute, the Hamline University Graduate School of Public Administration and Management and the Practice Enrichment Initiative (PEI), led by the founding scholars and practitioners who first articulated the transformative approach to mediation practice. The symposium is being held at the mid-point of the two-year PEI project, funded by grants from the Hewlett and Surdna Foundations, and focuses on research, practice and policy development in transformative mediation following publication of the groundbreaking work, The Promise of Mediation.
